For the project “Born to be Wine” for the Consorzio Tutela Roero I tell the tradition and the people who produce the wine of Roero, an area of Piedmont.
These illustrations are about the history of the people, the families of the territory and the producers to the wine: a great work that is enclosed in a bottle of wine.
The people and gestures of the history of the harvest are the protagonists of my proposals.
Roero Bianco | the naivety of a child who, during the harvest, tastes the fruit of the family’s work.
Roero Bianco Riserva | the elegance of a man while resting under a tree near the vineyard during the working day.
Roero Spumante | the graceful gesture of picking grapes, all the love that the producer puts in collecting the fruit of his work.
Roero Rosso | all the will and energy of the women of wine: during the harvest they work hard with the same energy as men.
Roero Rosso Riserva | a tribute to the elderly, to their dedication to work, to the land, to wine: the elderly woman of the family rides proudly her donkey while carrying baskets with grapes.
